ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Edmonton, AB
Permanent Full Time

If you are Project Manager with commercial electrician experience and you are looking for your next exciting opportunity, we want to hear from you! Our Edmonton base client who is one of Alberta’s largest commercial electrical contractors is currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent Project Manager position.

Project Manager duties and responsibilities:
• Full-cycle planning, management and execution of electrical projects
• Evaluation of contract documents for accuracy
• Prioritization and assigning of supervisory and employee tasks to ensure timely completion of projects
• Evaluation and approval of timesheets
• Conduct various meetings, such as start-up meetings, with the management team and other employees
• Issuance of various purchase orders or subcontracts
• Evaluation and tracking of Request for Information (RFI’s) CCN’s
• Ensure all projects are in compliance with the client’s safety programs
• Act as company representative with new and existing customers
• Preparation of presentation of progress reports
• Completion of project-closeouts when required
• Analyzation and management of project risk

Qualifications

• Three (3) plus years of commercial project management experience
• Alberta Electrical Journeyman or Red Seal Journeyman Certification
• PMP accreditation or Masters certificate is considered a definite asset
• Proven understanding of the electrical trade and commercial electrical contracting
• Thorough understanding of Canadian Electrical Code
• Valid provincial Driver’s License
• Skilled in MS projects, Word, Excel, Outlook, Accubid, etc.
• Ability to professionally represent our client and their project team
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a team and be able to contribute to team activities by sharing experiences and ideas
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Close visual acuity
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
