The Electrical Technician must be curious and constantly willing to learn. He is the reference person for repairs and maintenance, both preventive and corrective, of our equipment.
The Electrical Technician is essential to the proper functioning of the production machinery. He makes sure that everything works according to our high quality standards. He must be efficient and fast in the maintenance and repair of the machinery.
Working as an Electrical Technician for our company in Montreal-North will allow you to conciliate your family life and your personal activities since the schedule is flexible.
The schedule is daytime, Monday to Friday. You can arrive at the job site between 5:30 and 8:00 am. And it's an 8-hour shift per day.
It is also possible to work overtime on evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities
What is expected of the Electrical Technician:
- Provide production support on his/her normal shift and on call as needed ;
- Perform repairs, maintenance, calibration and installation of control, instrumentation and fire protection instruments in an efficient manner, in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and in a timely manner, in order to minimize production downtime;
- Participate in all stages of projects involving electrical projects;
- Process work requests received through the Intéral work order management system;
- Perform purchase requisitions and management of electrical parts;
- Carry out the constant updating of the documentation;
- Prepare and plan with his superior, the planned shutdowns of the equipment;
- Prepare and plan planned equipment shutdowns with his/her superior.
Qualifications
The electrical technician must have these skills and training
- Industrial Electronics Technical (DEC) with C.E. Electrical Certificate(or in process of obtaining);
- Experience in the food industry, in processes or production lines;
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position;
- Comfortable using computers
- Very good knowledge of programmable logic controller software;
- Good knowledge of variable speed drives (VFD);
- Knowledge of WHMIS, ability to work with chemicals;
- Knowledge of machine safety standards (an asset);
- Analytical mind, adaptable and flexible;
- Organized, structured and able to manage priorities;
- Willing to work in a refrigerated environment
- Bilingual (French/English) strongly desired, fluency in English fluency in English required.
