Responsibilities
•Troubleshoot industrial process electrical equipment including motor control, PLC and relay control systems, building, lighting and power distribution.
•Responsible for assisting the production lines with changeovers and setups.
•Rebuilding of equipment when necessary (i.e. Molding machines, grinders, pumps).
•Understand and troubleshoot AC & DC variable speed motor control drive systems. Specifically Variable Frequency Drives.
•Proficient in troubleshooting PLC controlled equipment using computer and test equipment.
Qualifications
•Ontario or Inter-Provincial (442A/309A/Red Seal) Electrician Certificate of Qualification is required.
•Experience with PLC - Ladder Logic, VFD and Industrial automation to troubleshoot equipment issues.
•3-5 years experience in the following areas: equipment repairs, improvements, and upgrades, new equipment installations, preventive maintenance, knowledge, and experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing programming logic controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi).
•Competency in troubleshooting HMI’s and variable frequency drives.
