    Our Client in OEM and Tier-1 supplier in electro-mechanical components in automation space is looking to hire an electronics designer to add in the team of electronic engineering department. So, we are looking for a dynamic electronics designer with 3-5 years hands on experience in PCB Altium Design, analog and digital electric circuit boards from schematic and hands on in switching mode power supply experience or DC/DC and AC/DC convertors.

    Position: Electronics Designer
    Report to: Lead Design Engineer
    Location: Toronto, ON
    Salary - Depends on Experience

    Responsibilities
    •Prototype design, prototype assembly and verification
    •Develop electronic printed circuit boards including schematic entry from concept to manufacture, meeting safety, reliability, cost, manufacturing and performance requirements
    •Participation in development, testing and approval of complex electro-mechanical systems
    •Plan and execute verification and validation activities
    •Create test procedures for new modules
    •To develop new product using a modular approach maximizing reusability and efficiency.
    •Preparation of technical and regulatory documentation, including production documentation, BOM, manuals, test instructions and specifications etc.
    •Use computer assisted engineering and design software and tools to perform engineering tasks
    •Properly test and calibrate the equipment; certify according to the corresponding procedures
    •Ensure the equipment is loaded with the latest release of the related software, firmware and the necessary database, if applicable
    •To ensure the equipment corresponds to the customer’s order and it is set for this purpose
    •Prepare a root cause analysis when product failure occurs
    •Participate in design reviews, project meetings and time/cost budgeting
    •Communicate with different parties – customer, vendor, internal engineering and manufacturing to ensure product meets customer requirements and quality standards
    •Meet project schedule deadlines and budgets
    •Order components, tools and services as required for product and prototype development
    •Perform other duties assigned by the Management.


    Qualifications
    •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent college degree
    •3 - 5 years working experience in developing analog and digital electronic circuit boards from schematic
    •Proficient in PCB design CAD software
    •Proficiency with data acquisition systems such as oscilloscope and power meters
    •Knowledge of DC/DC and AC/DC power converters
    •Experience with motor drives
    •Good communication and interpersonal skills
    •Problem solving and analytical reasoning skills required
    •Meticulous work habits
