We are looking for a daytime electromechanic on 12-hour shifts.
You will have the chance to evolve, as an electromechanic, in a refrigerated plant where the human side and the health and safety aspect are part of the company's primary values.
YOUR ROLE AS AN ELECTROMECHANIC:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electromechanic performs repairs as well as preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation and avoid unplanned downtime.
Advantages
For the position of Electromechanic, you will work from Friday to Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm for a total of 36 hours per week, but you will be paid 40 hours per week.
In addition, you will work in a refrigerated environment, approximately 4°C, but the coat, lab coat and boots are provided by the company.
Benefits after 3 months
- 80% paid by the employer (visual and dental included)
- Group RRSP after 1 year
- 2 weeks vacation
- Paid weekly
- Salary increase every year

Responsibilities
As an Electromechanic, your main responsibilities will be:
Provide production support on their normal shift and on call as needed;
Perform repairs, maintenance, calibration and installation of control, instrumentation and fire protection instruments in an efficient manner, in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and in a timely manner, in a minimize production downtime;
Participate in all stages of projects that involve electrical projects;
Process work requests received through the Intéral work order management system;
Carry out purchase requisitions and management of electrical parts;
Perform constant updating of documentation;
Supervise the work of external contractors associated with the department (when required);
Prepare and plan with his superior, planned shutdowns of equipment;
Perform any other related tasks that may fall under this job.
Qualifications
The Electro-mechanic must have the following qualifications:
The Electrical Engineer must have the following qualifications:
Technical in industrial electronics (DEC) with its certificate in electricity C.E;
Experience in the food industry, in processes and production lines;
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position;
Familiar with the use of computers and has a very good knowledge of programmable logic controller software;
Good knowledge of variable speed drives (VFD);
Knowledge of WHMIS and ability to work with chemicals;
Knowledge of machine safety standards (an asset);
Works as a team as needed to find solutions to electrical and instrumentation problems;
Analytical mind, adapts easily and is flexible;
Ability to work in a team (team spirit);
Capacity for an efficient organization and a well-structured working method;
Ability to determine the degree of importance of priorities;
Thoroughness, Interpersonal skills, Diligence, Sense of initiative, Communicator;
A developed sense of autonomy, ability to manage their own time;
Love challenges, attention to detail and able to work under pressure;
Bilingual (French/English) strongly desired, fluency in English required.
