This is an Energy Engineer opportunity with the largest power distribution company in British Columbia. This is a full time, two year contract located in Burnaby. Given Canada’s the second largest producer of hydroelectricity, this position will allow you diversity and growth in your career within the utility industry.
The primary scope of the Energy Engineer position is to perform on-site investigations and analysis of various small to medium sized commercial building mechanical and lighting systems in which you will identify deficiencies and energy efficiency opportunities, prepare project implementation cost estimates, and prepare technical reports and presentations to present to clients.
The Energy Engineer position is required to be a University graduate in Applied Sciences or Engineering, must be a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or with another jurisdiction and eligible for registration as such with Engineers & Geoscientists BC, must have a minimum of four years in relevant engineering field or equivalent, and must have five or more years of combined HVAC design experience for commercial, residential and institutional buildings, energy auditing and inspection of building HVAC systems.
