Are you known to be a motivated Energy Solutions Sales Representative and interested in a full time permanent opportunity with an energy company? Our client is a diversified midstream and energy infrastructure company, their infrastructure assets are located throughout Western Canada and include two natural gas transmission pipeline systems, five natural gas gathering and processing facilities, an LNG processing facility, and two power peaking units. Its Energy Solutions business supplies natural gas and electricity, along with providing energy price risk management, to customers in British Columbia, Alberta,
Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. Our client may be the right company for you.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

We are looking for a motivated Energy Solutions Representative to join our commercial and industrial sales team to build and manage customer relationships helpful in contracting electricity and natural gas supply within Western Canada. Your experience in customer prospecting, business development, electricity and natural gas markets, along with a proven track record of contracting, will be helpful to success in this role.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

- Build and manage strong relationships with existing and prospective customers and / or partners to identify, develop, and execute new opportunities
- Evaluate and actively prospect new opportunities from a commercial, financial, and strategic perspective
- Collect customer intelligence, insights, and work as part of an integrated team to create new business opportunities; participate in the customer bidding process
- Implementing strategies to acquire new customers and to enhance revenue growth opportunities with existing customers
- Monitor and quantify profitability and risk for current customers and contracts, and recommend appropriate actions
- Prepare and present economic analysis, proposals and agreements, and business opportunity summaries to management and customers
- Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the Company’s available services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers additional services as appropriate to assigned existing customers
- Schedules and completes proactive customer calls and visits and captures key information in the information systems
- Performs contractual re-signs on existing customers to extend customer relationship and increase customer profitability where appropriate
- Proactively communicates with or responds to customers in support of pricing initiatives
- Regularly meets with team to review key customer metrics and progress versus goals, partners with the operations team, when needed, to address customer services issues
- Builds relationships and increases our visibility through participation in company- sponsored activities, trade shows, and other similar activities
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?

- Successful track record of selling and closing contracts preferably in the electricity and natural gas commercial & industrial market segment
- Experience in retail energy market, natural gas or electricity
- Possess prior experience selling consultative services with a deep understanding of doing needs analysis
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in direct / outside sales and marketing consultative selling
- An established network of large commercial or industrial accounts in the electric utility or natural gas industry
- Strong desire to succeed and ethically move customers to transacting electricity and natural gas contracts
- Superior interpersonal, communication and presentation, and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills, including establishing rapport with clients through regular contact by phone and in person
- Must have excellent product and customer knowledge to educate customers on pricing and application of competitive advantages to meet or exceed customer needs
- Positive professional demeanour and appearance to act as a positive representative of the company in front of clients and in the local business community, as needed
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines; works well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
- Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities, taking on new expanded responsibilities as required
- Demonstrated team player with the ability to work independently
