    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the design, testing and on-going technical and manufacturing support of sealed sources and transport packages used for the shipment of radioisotopes.

    You will work closely with the group responsible for the production of sealed radioactive sources used in sterilization applications, and the group responsible for the operation and maintenance of transport packages.

    Responsibilities
    In this role you will have an impact on…

    •All aspects of the design, licensing and manufacture of sealed sources and transport packages
    •The design process; coordinating prototype manufacture; performing safety analyses including engineering calculations, creating test specifications, coordinating and executing testing; compiling results and generating reports; and designing or modifying production processes
    •The lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, meeting defined budgets, schedules, and functionality requirements
    •The engineering approval on new source and package designs to ensure they have met all the applicable engineering, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
    •The actions required to stabilize the service of the procurement team to internal customers
    •The response on complex queries from regulators and customers

    Qualifications

    You’re an ideal candidate for this role because you bring…

    •A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
    •5+ years of relevant work experience within mechanical engineering
    •Professional Engineer designation or eligibility for accreditation as a professional engineer• Experience in design and engineering analysis of mechanical systems and components
    •Basic knowledge of mechanical stress/strength calculations, Design, prototyping, testing and troubleshooting
    •An ability to complete simple thermal analysis and calculations
    • Excellent technical writing skills
    • Effective team player
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    -5% performance bonus
