Reports To: Senior Operations Manager
Location- Barrie, ON

Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities
Policies and Procedures Development/Maintenance/Enforcement
Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures and health and safety regulations.
Develop and maintain technical and administrative processes, tools and guidelines pertaining to departmental requirements; participate and encourage interdepartmental information exchange.
Resource Staffing, Allocations and Project Deadlines
Responsible for best practices implementation, monitoring of material inventories and project execution governance including reporting to upper management of project status and manpower requirements.
Accountable for the adherence to all project deadlines, the scope of work, job tracking and maintaining all schedule updates.
Proactively assisting with all departmental staffing requirements needed to maintain proper resource levelling and milestone accountability.
Quality
Ensure all functionality and quality standards are met including but not limited to the Quality Management System. (QMS)
Training of Staff
Provide leadership, training & development and mentorship for all departmental personnel.
Schedule and lead regular departmental meetings to achieve status monitoring, risk aversion and fostering of intradepartmental information sharing.
Performance Appraisals and Wages
Responsible for the preparation and delivery of all departmental employee performance evaluations including recommendations for wage increases.
Administration of review deliveries, performance metrics, goals and development strategies.
Team Morale
Develop, encourage and maintain a strong, positive team dynamic while providing mitigation of disparagement and conflict.
Interdepartmental Support
Provision of assistance and/or resources to all other departments as required.
Reprioritizing of departmental resources, materials and time allocations for all service department emergencies.
Department specific
Ensure familiarity with the requirements of equipment safety standards as they apply to equipment safety, operator safety, as well as the requirements for Pre-Start Health and Safety in the Province of Ontario.
Through strategic leadership, work with team members and suppliers to identify products and process to minimize the cost of the project execution.
Work closely with Sales to support concept designs.
Champion internal SRED data collection and reporting to liaise with external program consultants.
Qualifications
An engineering degree (mechanical, industrial, electrical) with excellent computer skills
A background in the manufacturing floor and working in facilities where there was a strong discipline for standards and job instructions is key to being successful.
Minimum 3-5 years of management responsibility experience or At least 3-5 years of experience in a project engineering or project engineering role within Automation.stamping industry.
