Bilingual Application Support Analyst - 6-months - Toronto or Scarborough - Media

Are you an outgoing, energetic, and professional application support analyst? Have you previously spent time providing support to people within Media Companies? Are you looking for an exciting contract with the chance to extend or flip full-time?

Look no further!

Responsibilities
o Handle inquiries/requests for support from business users via inbound and outbound calls and/or communications via email. Inquiries may include but are not limited to: general IBMS inquiries, service delivery support, education enrolment assistance, defect identification and testing.
o Understand business processes and relate them to incident resolution within a complex system
o Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions/workarounds to the business as it relates to issues reported, and system defects
o Participate in analyzing, testing, and detailing new end-to-end business processes as required
o Recommend courses of action and work with other team members to establish new or revised processes and procedures as required
o Participate in writing system change requests in their area of expertise, as required
o Follow system management and operational policies as defined by IT Management
o Retest defects and participate in Regression Testing exercises and communicate the results to the Testing Manager promptly as assigned

Communication
o Understand both businesses speak and IT speak
o Foster trust and teamwork; engage Business users and Project Team members equally to provide correct and timely resolutions
o Communicate in a timely fashion and clearly, both ongoing status and/or the resolution of incident/case to the Business end-user
o Escalate to Vendor for third level support when necessary
o Communicate hot issues and resolutions to peers and Manager and when appropriate escalate further any issues/concerns/resolutions as may be required to Senior Management Team
o Liaise with various Project Team members as may be required

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

o Bilingualism (French / English)
o In-depth knowledge of media broadcasting business
o Understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle
o Knowledge of process and strategies related to software implementations
o Experience in problem-solving, issue identification, resolution, and appropriate escalation
