Field Service Engineer

The company specializes in the design and manufacturing of power generation systems and automatic transfer switches for low and medium voltage applications.. We’re looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer with a background in having experience within the power industry specially with LV/MV switchgears.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build, develop and maintaining exemplary customer and vendor relationships while maintaining a high level of quality and technical service.
• Provide Technical Training programs for customers and/or Thomson Power System employees on new and existing products.
• Provide product support including start-up, commissioning, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, testing, and installation.
• Successful and timely completion of assigned Field Service activities to meet customer functional requirements. (Commissioning, testing, preventative maintenance etc.)
• Support of Testing New Product Development (NPD) projects as assigned
• Execution of Continuous improvements projects as assigned
• PLC/HMI programming of projects as directed.
• Understand, adhere to, and ensure all corporate policies, including quality, and health and safety guidelines are followed


REQUIREMENT- EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Associate’s or Technical degree in Electrical or Electronics
• NETA Certified (ETT Level 1 or higher) in electrical equipment testing and/or customer servicing.
• Valid Journeyman Industrial Electrician's Trade Qualification Certificate
• 10+ years of technical experience in the Power Generation Industry (or similar industry)
• 5+ years of experience in programming control and automation equipment typically used in power generation systems or similar industries (e.g. PLC, HMI Displays, engine controllers, protective relays, load sharing/synchronizing controllers).
