As part of the Digitization Project, there are still files that require chronological boxing and sorting for relocation from the New Waterford office to the Membertou Office. The two temporary workers would be required to have their own transportation to 3050 Wilson Avenue, New Waterford Office and may be required to be on site at the Membertou Space during the move days (Dec 15 - 19, 2025).
We are looking for someone with data entry/ office admin work experience or someone with experience with sorting or mailing operations

Responsibilities
The Clerk will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties, including but not limited to:
Office Administration: Performing general clerical duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and managing office supplies inventory.
Information Management: Preparing, reviewing, and processing a variety of documents, including correspondence, reports, forms, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to provincial standards.
Data Entry: Accurately inputting and maintaining data within departmental and government-wide computerized systems and databases.
Communication: Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence (mail and email), answering, screening, and directing telephone calls, and responding to general inquiries from staff and the public with professionalism.
Financial Support (Basic): Assisting with basic financial tasks such as sorting receipts, processing simple invoices, and preparing bank deposits, as required.
Meeting Support: Assisting with the coordination of meetings, including preparing agendas, booking rooms, and potentially recording and distributing minutes.
Confidentiality: Maintaining strict confidentiality and using discretion when handling sensitive information and records.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience (basic to moderate level) in a clerical, administrative, or office support role is required. Experience within a government or public sector environment is considered an asset.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential, along with a strong working knowledge of general office equipment. Experience with database entry and management is an asset.
