Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payment/receipt
Conduct monthly/quarterly financial audits to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial reports prepared by junior accounting staff
Supervise and train junior accounting staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and auditors
Collaborate with other departments, including finance, human resources, and operations, to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA designation or enrollment preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance,
Some supervisory experience is preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, such as QuickBooks and SAP
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Summary
Salary: 75,000 - 85,000
Work 4 days in office, may go to 3 days over time
Located in North York near Vaughan
