Are you a finance and accounting professional with previous experience in the insurance industry? Have you previously been responsible for month-end close and management reporting processes? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your skills within a global organization?

If so, look no further as we have an excellent opportunity for you! We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting to support our client, a globally recognized insurance firm, in their Markham office. In this role you will work full time hours on a 6 month assignment, and earn a rate competitive within the industry. As a Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting, you will be responsible for:

• Monthly Journal entries for Warranty and Account reconciliations
• Monthly Journal entries for IBNR reserves.
• Preparation of BS review file
• Warranty reports required for P&C 1 and compliance reporting.
• Verify accuracy of data processing and financial statements
• Assist the Supervisor, Corporate Accounting on adhoc month-end activities.

• Develop your skills in a leading and well recognized insurance firm
• Work full time hours on a 6 month assignment with potential for extension
• Earn a rate competitive within the industry
• Markham ON location

• Accounting or business administration Bachelor degree. A designated professional accountant (CA, CGA or CMA) or working towards to complete a professional accounting designation will be an asset.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting related working experience.
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Essbase.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong Analytical skills and detailed oriented.
• Ability and passion to improve processes while simultaneously delivering under tight timelines.
• Insurance accounting knowledge will be an asset.
