    Do you have financial analysis experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment?

    Do you have a firm grasp of working with inventory?

    I'm working with this hiring company exclusively - with the Director of Finance.

    The location is Carlingview and 409 - close to the airport in Etobicoke. It would also be best to drive to this location as the walk from transit is about 15 minutes. They also provide paid parking!

    Ideally, they would love for the hired candidate to start in September to October 2022! I look forward to connecting with you!

    Advantages
    Compensation and Perks:
    - 70 to 85K base salary - depending on experience;
    - 3 weeks of vacation;
    - Benefits after 3 months fully covered by the employer;
    - You will have your own office;
    - Work hours - 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday;
    - Lunchroom - couch, microwave, tables, fridges, Keurig machine-they provide coffee and tea; 30-minute lunch;
    - The company does regular social events - a few weeks ago had a BeaverTail truck come by for the employees; last weekend they went to a Blue Jays baseball game; they host regular bbq’s;

    Many of the employees will hang out after work!

    Responsibilities
    Role details:
    1.Manage the manufacturing accounting cycle. – costing and inventory controls
    2.Responsible for monthly journal entries
    3.Calculate sales staff commissions on a monthly basis
    4.Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
    5.Assist with the annual budgeting process
    6.Assist the Assistant Controller with the internal financial reporting and metric reporting
    7.Assist in the preparation of audit binder for annual audit
    8.Determine the need for business or operational improvement using data, interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, and task and workflow analysis.
    9.Provide recommendations to help improve processes throughout the organization, while ensuring completeness and accuracy with minimal business disruption


    Qualifications
    1.Strong understanding GAAP
    2.Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business and customer needs and translate them into recommendations for improving the business
    3.Critical thinking skills so that all relevant data and information is examined and old ways of doing things can be successfully challenged
    4.Communication skills – both written and verbal skills in presenting ideas for change; manage pushback of ideas
    5.Innovative thinking and interpretation skills so that solutions are the right ones for improving the business
    6.Thinking about longer term consequences (pros and cons) of recommendations
    7.Identifies and prioritizes business needs effectively
