Our client, a large and well known Manufacturer in York Region, is growing and adding to their team.

If you are a Financial Analyst with aspirations to continue in your journey and become an Assistant Controller and lead teams, read on! This role could be ideal for you.

Reporting directly to the CFO, duties and responsibilities will include:

* assist in preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements
* prepare monthly journal entries
* assist in month end closing
* work closely with Plant team to ensure accurate costing, valuation of inventories and ensure manufacturing variances are understood
* assist with year end audit
* forecasting and analysis

Qualifications
* CPA designation preferred
* Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
* 3 years of proven experience working in a similar capacity within the Manufacturing industry
* Knowledge of GAAP
* Experience with Standard Costing
* Expert Excel
* Strong command of ERP systems and implementation experience preferred
