    Job Title: FINANCIAL PLANNING ANALYST
    Location: Montreal
    Field: Tourism/Event Management
    Salary: $50,000 $65,000


    The Financial Planning, Analysis and Projects Analyst produces multiple internal management reports as well as external reporting. He/she is responsible for maintaining KPIs and analyzing them before they are released. He/she actively participates in the month, quarter and year-end process as well as the audit. He is a super user of the JDE software package and Hubble software. He is responsible for the creation of capital projects and their follow-up. He is the right hand of the Head, Financial Planning, Analysis and Projects.

    Responsibilities
    Financial planning and analysis (75%)

    - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements;
    - Preparation of various performance reports and analysis of the same to ensure their accuracy;
    - Preparation of KPI's and analysis of these to ensure accuracy;
    - Preparation of monthly dashboard;
    - Accounting for leases (as lessee) according to IFRS16;
    - Participates in the month-end process and suggests improvements to improve the efficiency of the monthly closing;
    - Carries out the accounting of the transactions assigned to him/her;
    - Prepares assigned balance sheet account analyses on a monthly basis;
    - Applies controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information;
    - Participates in the continuous improvement of accounting procedures;
    - Responsible for the creation of capital projects in JDE and their budgetary follow-up;
    - Responsible for maintaining capital expenditure forecasts on a monthly basis;
    - Actively participates in the annual budget process;


    Customer Service (25%)

    - Responds courteously and respectfully to internal customers and works closely with other departments;
    - Ensures a quick response time and facilitates the achievement of internal customer objectives;
    - Protects the confidentiality of information in order to maintain the level of confidence of its internal customers towards the service.

    Thoroughness and attention to detail

    5 years of experience in financial accounting including the preparation of performance reports and monthly KPIs
    Experience with continuous improvement projects including ERP implementation
    Experience with fixed assets (capital projects, start-ups, depreciation, impairments)
