Our client’s team in the Pointe-Claire area is growing! We are looking for FORKLIFT DRIVERS / OPERATORS for morning, afternoon and night.

***This is a minimum 6 month contract with full-time - 40 hours a week of work ***

The location?
Our client is currently located in Pointe-Claire (West island of Montreal) right on the service road of the transcanadienne highway. It is accessible by car and bus.

The hours? The pay?
Day: Monday to Friday from 6am to 2pm - $17/hour
Afternoon: Monday to Thursday from 10am to 8pm - $17.25/hour
Night: Monday to Thursday from 8pm to 6am - $17.80/hour

What will you be working on?
The Forklift Operator is responsible to safely operator a standing electrical forklift (raymond reach) and be able to load and unload pallets and bring them to the assigned location.The breakdown will be:
Forklift Operation: using a standing electric powered forklift. A valid forklift is required for this position. A forklift assessment is required on-site.
Wrapping: using the standing forklift, the forklift operator will be responsible for wrapping pallets.
Shipping and receiving: as products are brought in from the transport trucks, the forklift operator must place them in their appropriate location and ensure the proper labels for accurate tracking.
Inventory management: using an RF scanner, to determine which products are needed for different departments and also to be picked and packed. It is the responsibility of the forklift operator to use an RF scanner to review what is required for production lines to ensure that supply levels are always met to ensure no slowdown in production.
General labour: lifting boxes no more than 40 pounds, building boxes and maintaining a clean work site. This will be to load pallets and unload pallets.
Counting: including cycle counting. To maintain supply levels, and make sure the appropriate number of products was received at the warehouse and also being shipped out of the warehouse.
Computer operations using excel, outlook and word are an important part of the role. This will be to determine supply levels and to review orders coming in.
General labour tasks of lifting boxes no more than 40 pounds, building boxes and maintaining a clean work site.


What we are looking for?
Past warehouse experience is an asset.
RF Scanner experience is an asset.
