r client’s team in the Pointe-Claire area is growing! We are looking for Material Handlers / General Labours for all 3 shifts day, afternoon and night.***This is a minimum 6 month contract with full-time - 40 hours a week of work ***The location?Our client is currently located in Pointe-Claire (West island of Montreal) right on the service road of the transcanadienne highway. It is accessible by car and bus.The hours? The pay?Afternoon: Monday to Thursday from 10am to 8pm - $17/hourWhat will you be working on? Join our team on the production line as the products get ready for distribution. Production line tasks and inventory control: fast pace to ensure all supply levels are full stocked and ready for packing the products. This will be unloading boxes of the products and placing them in the correct location. Picking and Packing : as there are some products that will need to be manually placed in the boxes, it will be your responsibility to use an RF scanner to see how many units go with each order and placed in that box. Counting: including cycle counting. Maintain supply levels and verify and ensure all products are received at the warehouse. It is also important to do counting when the orders are being shipped out or being processed for distribution. Audit / Spot Check: this will be reviewing the boxes to ensure that they are able to close and ready for labeling. It will require some computer knowledge in order to review orders in the system using basic programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. There will also be spot checks of the orders to ensure that operations are running smoothly. Labelling: it will be required that as a Material Handler you will be printing the labels and putting them on the correct box and preparing them to be shipped. Technology: ***FOR DAY SHIFT ONLY***: must be comfortable with email and the microsoft office platform. Needs to be comfortable reading small numbers on boxes and on the computer screen.Physical: there is repetitive lifting that happens throughout the shift of 30-40 pounds. This position also requires you to be on your feet for the entire duration of the shift with your allocated break times in between. Able to push and/or pull boxes either manually or using assisted lifting equipment. Lots of bending and lifting will be required for the position. Will need to be able to use a manual pallet jack.General Labour: maintaining a clean worksite and building boxes. There are repetitive tasks that are required to be performed during the shift.
