Responsibilities
• Prepare shipping documents and dispatch shipments of parts/products in accordance with customer releases and courier requests from other departments.
• Responsible for maintaining an inventory count of packaging and identifying and segregating damaged packaging.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, especially while operating a forklift
• Perform audits on finished goods and components to verify inventory as required.
• Perform data entry on the computer as required.
• Responsible to audit the condition of each load of finished goods to ensure that trucks are loaded properly.
• Responsible to operate the forklift in a safe manner and also maintain it in good working condition.
• Ensure that the received items are stored in the proper designated locations.
• Assist with inventory counts as required. and notify the warehouse manager of any low stock conditions.
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures; and legislative requirements.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or HR
Qualifications
• Requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Shipping & Receiving, Material Handling, and internal & external logistics, ideally within a low volume/high mix logistics environment.
• Requires a valid Forklift Operating License.
• Skilled with the traditional as well as advanced methods used in inventory control.
• Good written & oral skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
