Frac Data and Business Intelligence Specialist

If you have experience working within the North American shale frac industry and have a desire to optimize the frac program and frac operations using data analysis and business intelligence tools then we has a position available for you. Our client is looking for a Frac Data and Business Intelligence Specialist to join their fast paced development team. With access to a unique, first-of-its-kind, data aggregation and control system this opportunity to become part of the team at an early stage in its development is ideally suited to someone with an entrepreneurial and energetic disposition.

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Responsibilities:
• Provide subject matter expertise in the North American shale frac industry.
• Interact with customers to determine their data analysis and business intelligence requirements. Develop data and business intelligence visualizations relevant to the industry and customers demands. Balance customer demands with development capabilities.
• Identify opportunities and participate in the development of new technologies.
• Support deployment of new technologies to field operations, includes training of new procedures and requirements for field technicians and introduction of new technologies to the sales team and existing customers.
• Manage DAS uptime ensuring quality delivery of service to the customer.
• Interact with customers to provide technical support and training of the DAS, database access and data visualizations.

Qualifications:
• Proficiency with data warehouse and business intelligence tools such as SQL, Azure, Power BI, Excel.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills.
• Emotionally intelligent and comfortable communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in technical and business communication and effective at switching between the two.
• Ability to mange, adapt and prioritize between many projects on an ongoing basis.
• Experience with WellView and WellView integration.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow and develop within a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
• Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
• Proficiency with any programming language will be considered an asset.
