We are looking for MOTIVATED and HARDWORKING individuals to join a team of Construction experts as a PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE w/ Forklift License for a facility in MISSISSAUGA (near Oakville)
Location: Lakeshore - Southdown (South Mississauga near Oakville)
Job: PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE w/ Forklift License
Employment: Full-time with the possibility of permanent hire
Salary: $22.50 hour ($18/hr no forklift)
Afternoon shift premium of $0.50 after 5 pm
$500 signing bonus once hired on
Steady Afternoon Shift"
Afternoons
5:00 pm - 1:00 am, 3:00 pm - 1:00 am or 5:00 pm - 3:00 am
Mandatory 48-hour workweeks (including weekends if shipping demands it)
Mon-Friday or Saturday | Tuesday-Saturday | Wednesday- Sunday
Advantages
$22.50/hr Monday to Friday
Full-time hours, lots of opportunity for OVERTIME hours
OVERTIME after 40Hours
Weekly pay
Training for new skills
Opportunity for growth and possible full-time opportunity
Benefits after probation:
Rate increase of 2.5% increase yearly with quarterly bonuses (up to 10% of your gross)

Responsibilities
Operating on all production lines as scheduled
Operate machinery to assist in the production process
Perform production tasks according to standard operating procedures and manufacturing guidelines
Follow instructions and report to assigned team lead, supervisor
Maintain production reports daily, as required
Guide other associates in their assigned duties when needed
Identify and report unsafe practices and incidents immediately to the team lead, supervisor, and manager
Attend job training related to production and machinery for professional growth and development
Complete daily assigned tasks to meet production volume and schedule
Ensure that the work environment is maintained clean, safe, and organized
Ensure that the manufactured products meet customer specifications
Maintain documentation for production and related activities for reference, tracking, and analysis purposes
Stay up to date with production processes
Assist in analyzing root causes of production issues and help in developing and implementing corrective actions
Operate counterbalance forklifts
Operate floor sweeper machine
Assemble materials and equipment as required
Remove all faulty or sub-standard parts and ensure that their statuses are communicated to the team leader, supervisor, manager
Assist in start-up and shutdown of production machinery/lines as required
Clean all equipment at the beginning, during and the end of each shift as the need arises
Use power tools as required
Assist in monitoring everything from product parts to the assembly itself to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Inspect raw materials to ensure they are free from defects and meet specifications
Inspect finished products for defects to ensure quality standards are met
Preparation and loading/feeding of raw materials to the production lines
Transport raw materials from one place to another
Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure efficient production and deadlines are met
Conduct inspections and quality control of products
Assist in lifting, carrying, and moving heavy loads as required
Assist other departments as required
Adhere to all company and government policies, SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and other safety policies and training.
Qualifications
Over 1-year experience operating a counterbalance forklift
Valid Forklift License
Willing to work overtime during busy season (September – April)
Preventative maintenance, equipment offline projects etc.
Must be comfortable in using the computer
Able to speak/read/write English
Access to reliable transportation (due to location and timings)
Must have CSA-approved 6" safety shoes
Heavy lifting (50 lbs), loading/unloading trucks, housekeeping
Must possess a positive attitude and can work independently
