Permanent position - Relocation to Arviat, NU
Salary $80,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience)

Responsibilities
As a General Manager in the cargo, heavy equipment, and fuel delivery, a normal day would include:
- Drive and regularly report on operational and financial goals for the division
- Effectively communicate with the senior management team on performance, challenges, and opportunities
- Act as the point of contact for community and business partners including escalated customer needs
- Recommend equipment additions, replacements, and overall maintenance expenditures to COO for approval
- Identify opportunities to maximize equipment utilization, reduce downtown and maintenance costs
- Work directly with the COO on exploring opportunities for growth and/or expansion of services in the division
- Provide direct support to the Supervisor, Cargo & Equipment and Manager, Fuel Delivery to successfully achieve contractual requirements, customer expectations and financial objectives
- Develop, implement and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering or a combination of related education and experience
- 5+ years experience working in a senior operations role and specific experience with heavy equipment, construction, transportation, or petroleum are definite assets
- Business acumen and comfort with financial statements and attainment of KPI’s
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to develop and lead a team
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Adaptable with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
