ATTENTION ALL SANITATION CANDIDATES!!!

A large food production facility in Richmond is looking for a Sanitation Associate to join their growing team. The role involves sanitizing equipment and floors and maintaining a safe working environment to ensure sanitation standards are met.

Wage: $18.02/hr + $.75/hr premium for Graveyard shift
Shift times: 9:30PM - 6:00AM (Sunday - Friday)
**Must have a vehicle, no transit in the area**

Responsibilities
- Adhering to sanitation procedures and dry cleaning equipment and floors, including: removing left over product from machinery and ground using a squeegee
-Disassembling and covering control panels and electrical equipment; removing coverings and reassembling some machinery
-Washing equipment with water and foam, scrubbing machinery, performing a hot water rinse, and sanitizing
-Operating floor scrubbers, platform, and other equipment as required
-Disposing of garbage and compost; refilling garbage bins with bags
-Sweeping, squeegee, and vacuuming floors and changing and cleaning footpaths
-Ensuring sanitation quality meets Company standards by following cleaning procedures and communicating and coordinating with Quality Assurance (QA) and problem-solving when issues occur
-Adhering to the Company's safety policies and procedures, as well as those set out by WorkSafeBC, and abiding by food sanitation standards
-Working in other areas as assigned
-Other duties as required

Working Conditions
-Regular graveyard shifts
-Must be available for evening, graveyard, and weekend shifts
-Wet environment; atmosphere ranges from cool to warm and humid
-Hearing protection and steel toe shoes required (can be provided for a cost)
-Standing and walking for a long period of time (approximately 8 hours per shift)

Qualifications
Requirements, Skills, Qualifications
-High School Diploma or GED is preferred
-Minimum of three months sanitation experience is an asset
-Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a dedication to sanitation and safety
-Working as part of a team, often with minimal supervision and maintaining a positive and respectful workplace
-Abiding by company policies and procedures
-Ability to read, write, and speak English
-Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving
