TITLE: Hard Coat Technician
SHIFT: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
PAY: $17/hr.

Responsibilities
- Work order invoice analysis for sorting purposes
-sorting surfaced work in priority level sequence according to Hard Coat Requirments and Procedures
-Bar code scanning and job transfer distribution from the sorting area into the department for processing
-Lens inspection for surface flaw or defect
-hand wiping SOP with the client's technique
-Manual lens setting to applicable 4 Bath Rack Depending on Index
- 4 Bath Machine Operations- Manual Rack Transfer into Imput unit
-Double Dip Operations- Manual Rack TRansfer into stage one
Lens inspection after auto dip process application for quality assurance
-Conduction quality tolerance asserssment
-responsible for lens curing and lens baking
-Basic macnine operations
-Hard coat equipment shutdown procedures by folowing required SOP's
- Performs all maintenance Tasks-( liquid measurements, Chemical Mixing/Concentrations, liquid replacement- alkaline/hard resin, tank cleaning, filter changes) etc.
- Performs and responsible for standardized testing- Quality assurance (abrasion, adhesion, film thickness)
- Records daily results production productivity, quality logs maintenance and cleaning tasks as posted on communication Board, preform and initialize
- Department and stationary cleaning
- Flexible in Availability- overtime when needed
- Assisting hard coat and other departments during slower intervals as needed upon request
Qualifications
- High school OSSD diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with Chemicals
- Post secondary/ graduate diploma / degree an asset
- optical/ chemistry training / extremely helpful
- customer Service experience an asset
- Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Assertive with a positive winning attitude
- Healthcare or pharma experience
- Production experience
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Optometry (asset)
- Ability to read and understand machine schematics (asset)
- Mechanical skills (asset)
- Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
