Responsibilities
Assist in identifying, analyzing, and controlling occupational hazards requiring applying
professional skills and abilities.
Apply knowledge of psychological and physiological factors to assist in the design of safety
features and controls, compensating for the possibility of human errors in the operation of
machinery and equipment.
Assist with the activities necessary to ensure that the Midland facility complies with all local, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations.
Assist with accident investigations and follow-up with required corrective actions.
Assist on the floor - job reviews
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Physically agile for moving and bending
- Ability to follow written specifications and instructions
- Knowledge of measuring equipment and ability to make simple math calculations
- Work safety and responsibly and be a self-starter
