A well-established specialty clinic in Mississauga is seeking a Healthcare Administrative Assistant to join their team. As the Healthcare Administrative Assistant, you will have the chance to work with and learn from the whole administrative team and support multiple physicians. This role will involve rotating to support a different physician each day with patient registration, exam room management, reception, and maintaining patient records in the EMR system.
This is a 1-month contract to start with the potential to extend. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is committed to patient care. We are seeking qualified individuals in the Mississauga area who are available to start full time immediately.

Responsibilities
A Day in the Life of a Healthcare Administrative Assistant:
Answering and returning phone calls from patients
Greeting and checking in patients at reception
Entering patient information and updating files in EMR system (Oscar)
Managing waiting room and exam rooms
Booking appointments and follow ups, including diagnostic testing
Labelling specimens when necessary
Sanitizing and disinfecting equipment, as well as restocking and managing inventory (this duty will be completed on average 1 day per week or less, shared in rotation with other administrative staff)
Qualifications
What YOU bring to the role of Healthcare Administrative Assistant:
1-2 years of experience as a Medical Administrator in a healthcare setting
Tech-savvy and proficiency in using EMR (Oscar preferred) is key to success in this position
Team-oriented and adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities on a daily basis
Well-developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills, experienced in managing multiple priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality in a variety of settings and experienced in handling sensitive information
Reliable and conscientious
