Responsibilities
Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts
Perform preventive maintenance on mobile equipment
Diagnose the nature of defects and failures to determine the scope of necessary repairs
Complete detailed repair reports, identifying the root causes of breakdowns and issues encountered
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with requirements
Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine the correct repair procedures

Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics
DVS (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in heavy vehicle mechanics or equivalent experience
Knowledge of equipment and its operation
Solid foundation in general mechanics, electricity, and hydraulic and pneumatic principles
Ability to use diagnostic equipment
Capable of performing repair welding and experienced in using welders and torches
Basic computer skills
Possession of a PEP card (Preventive Maintenance Program) is an asset
