Hours: Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: $28 - $34 an hour

Responsibilities
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for this great company located in the East end of Ottawa, a normal day would include:
- conduct regular preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, skid-steers, backhoes, and other machinery
- conduct diagnostic tests on malfunctioning equipment and provide repairs as needed
- keep the fleet in excellent operating condition by performing ongoing repairs and maintenance
- work closely with the rental team to ensure that equipment is ready for customer use in a timely fashion
- accurately record all repairs, maintenance, and service work performed on equipment
Qualifications
Who is the perfect match for this position?
- minimum 3 years of experience working with heavy equipment
- experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- excellent organization and time management skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
