Are you an HR/Payroll professional who is comfortable in a stand-alone role, processing full-cycle payroll for 450 employees in Canada, with union and non-union experience, and also having pension and benefits administration experience?

Reporting to the Director of HR, your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Processing payroll for 450 employees for provinces across Canada
• Payroll reconciliations and reporting
• Preparing ROE's
• Answering any payroll, pension & benefit inquiries for employees
• CPP, EI, WSIB and other remittances
• Various reports as required
• Completing the annual salary review process; leading the survey process
• Ensuring the timely processing of change requests, new hires, temporary staff, transfers, promotions, and terminations
• Supporting the HR Business Partner with employee relations and performance management, including progressive discipline management, complaints investigations and dispute resolution, and involuntary terminations
• Managing the HRIS and associated HR activities;
• Maintainance of employee records and employee database in the HRIS system
• Ad-hoc duties as required

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Pension and benefits administration experience and the ability to explain the programs to employees
• Experience with Ceridian platforms is a plus
• Solid Excel skills - pivot table and v-lookup knowledge as well as other MS Office programs
