One of our clients, a leading brand name organization, is looking for a Human Resources Generalist. Recruitment will be a main focus of your role (80%), along with other generalist functions (20%).

More precisely, your principal responsibilities will be the following:

- Recruitment: Full cycle recruitment (sourcing, interviews, managing offers, references), managing an average of 15 roles at any given time; support managers with any recruitment needs, workforce planning
- Campus Recruitment: manage internship recruitment, maintain relationships with Colleges and Universities, campus events
- Employee Relations: Develop and maintain effective employee relations, act as a point of contact for enquiries about employee issues, HR policies, participate in mediations and investigations as required
- Management Relations: support HR requirements of managers, develop relationships, assist managers with strategies to build and maintain high performing teams
- Performance management: Assist managers with developing performance plans, identify training opportunities, coach managers on discipline issues, assist with the performance appraisal process
- HR administration: updating and maintaining employee files, return to work programs, producing key HR reports, preparing documents, offer letters, termination packages, working with the head office to update job descriptions, HR communications and documentation
- Other HR Functions: develop and deliver communication pieces, provide education on HR policies and procedures, special projects as needed, health and safety

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of dedicated HR/Recruitment experience (ideally 5 years, but we are also looking for fit and attitude)
- Strong recruitment experience
- HR experience in a retail, customer service, distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Able to work independently, take initiative and show good judgment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and high degree of accuracy
- Strong critical thinking skills and positive attitude
- Flexible and adaptable, team player

Nice to Have:
- Bilingual in English and French would be a major asset!
