Our client in Delta BC is looking for an amazing Human Resource Advisor, reporting to the Director, Human Resources and HSE. This is a 6 month maternity leave contract position which has the potential to become permanent. This role partners with business operations to provide human resources services including recruitment, hiring, employee relations, and project support.

They provide quality service and solutions from food production products, and packaged systems.

The HR Adviser will be responsible for:

- Provides generalist support and guidance to assigned client groups, and other groups as required
- Interprets, assists and advises employees and managers regarding HR procedures and policies
- Coordinates preparation and maintenance of employee documents and files
- Works on various Human Resources projects and initiatives
- Responsible for ongoing data analytics and reporting
- Conducts HR investigations in assigned business unit(s), ensuring applicable laws, best practices and company policies are adhered to
- Acts as liaison to employees in assigned business unit(s), responding to inquiries or escalating issues as appropriate
- Prepares and posts job advertisements, screening applications, arranging interviews, and participating in selection process as required
- Coordinates preparation of documents needed for new hires, make changes in pay, status, and benefits, including paperwork required to place employee on payroll
- Manages the Performance Management System
- Performs other related duties as required

- Compensation is between $45-60/year depending on candidates experience.

- Must have strong MS Office skills
- Experience using ATS and PMS systems
- Able to work at the speed of the business and meet tight deadlines
- Good knowledge of HR areas (training, staffing, employment standards, human rights legislation)
- Ability to administer organizational design and change issues
- Highly effective interpersonal and written communication skills required
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in working with large amounts of data and solving data issues
- Must be able to thrive in a rapidly growing and changing organization
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Must have willingness to learn, take initiative, and work as a part of the team
- Must have exceptional attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
