We have a great opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist with one of our clients in the healthcare sector. Located in Toronto, this role will execute day-to-day HR functions and will provide guidance and expertise to managers and employees. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience, including 2 years in a generalist capacity. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking initiative, making recommendations and communicating with all levels of employees. A passion for recruitment and the ability to excel in fast-paced environments is also essential. Please note that healthcare industry experience is required.

What you’ll be doing:
• Recruitment – Full cycle recruitment (sourcing, interviews, managing offers, references), building candidate pipelines and creating positive candidate experiences
• Employee Relations – Develop and maintain effective employee relations, act as a point of contact for enquiries about employee issues, HR policies, benefits
• Management Relations – helping managers optimize their teams, develop relationships, act as an advisor on all things HR, assist with workforce and succession planning
• Performance management – Assist managers with developing performance plans, identify training and development opportunities, coach managers on discipline issues, assist with the performance appraisal process
• Training – identify training opportunities, assist and facilitate training, maintain training records
• HR administration – updating and maintaining employee files, return to work programs, producing key HR reports, preparing documents, offer letters, termination packages
• Other HR Functions – develop and deliver communication pieces, provide education on HR policies and procedures, special projects as needed

Do you have the right qualifications?
• Degree/ Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field, CHRP/L or working towards the designation
• Healthcare industry experience is a requirement
• Minimum of 4 years of dedicated HR experience, including 2 in a generalist capacity
• Knowledgeable about ESA, WISB, Health & Safety
• Comfortable taking initiative and showing good judgment
• Ability to collaborate and work with all levels of employees and managers
• Confidence to bring ideas to the table
• Flexible and adaptable, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
