One of our clients in Etobicoke is currently looking for an HR Manager with a strong generalist background. You will be providing a full range of HR support to the leadership team and the employees. Previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. This is a standalone role and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys managing day to day HR functions and developing and executing strategic plans to support business goals.

More precisely, your principal responsibilities will be the following:

- Recruitment – full cycle activities, working with managers – sourcing, screening, interviews, assessments, offer letters, workforce planning, manage relationships with staffing agencies
- Health & Safety – JH&SC meetings, inspections, walk throughs, investigations, WSIB claims, liaise with MOL
- Employee relations – be a point of contact for employees and managers about any areas of concern, build and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers
- Performance management - coach and provide guidance to managers on performance issues, assist with development plans, coordinate performance appraisal system and manage the annual review process and recognition program
- Training – on boarding, coordinate orientation, training needs analysis, coordinate on the job training, update the training matrix
- Policies and Procedures – update existing policies as needed, communicate polices and provide training to employees, advise on an ESA issues
- Administration – maintain employee files and records and org chart, develop job descriptions
- Compensation & Benefits – research salaries, make recommendations for increases, update payroll team on compensation changes, reviewing benefits usage
- Other HR projects as required such as: succession planning, organizational development, support on lean manufacturing transition

Qualifications
- University degree and or college certificate/post grad diploma in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of HR generalist experience, spanning all functional areas of HR
- Strong knowledge-base and experience in Health & Safety
- HR experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable about ESA, employment legislation
- Able to work independently and make good decisions

Nice to Have:
- Experience in a standalone HR role
- Health and safety cirtification
- Experience supporting an organization during transition to lean manufacturing
