Responsibilities
The main responsibility of this resource is to provide the services of a full stack Oracle developer specialized in APEX, PL/SQL with some exposure to the other Oracle development tools being used in these applications such as ODI and the relational database.
Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, work to improve structure and efficiency of an organization’s I&IT systems.
The I&IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT.
Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance.
General Skills:
Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of a specific deliverable
Provide the quality assurance/quality control of specific deliverables
Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding expectations
Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables
Prepares reports and presentations including options, recommendations, implementation plans, etc.
Works with clients to define the scope of a project and to determine requirements
Defines software, hardware and network requirements
Analyzes I&IT requirements giving independent and objective advice on the use of I&IT
Designs, tests, installs and monitors new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new systems
Familiar with change-management principles and methodology
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices

Demonstrated experience upgrading and applying patches for Hyperion Planning.
At least five years experience working with Hyperion Planning in a Windows environment.
Must have worked on at least one other Hyperion Planning implementation where Oracle Access Manager (OAM) is used to manage the coarse-grained security.
Application-Specific Experience (35%):
Demonstrated experience optimizing performance for complex Hyperion Planning applications that manage funding and the collection of financial data from externa l entities.
Experience supporting a Hyperion Planning application that is deployed outside the organization across the internet.
Experience developing Hyperion Planning solutions that allocate and manage transfer payments.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining applications that use a custom-tool like APEX to manage Essbase metadata.
Experience working with both the business users and IT development teams.
Demonstrated ability to effectively transfer knowledge to client staff.
Proven ability to manage the successful completion an assignment of this nature, magnitude and complexity, and achieve the results on schedule.
A team player with the ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities and strict deadlines.
Experience in dealing with system solutions related to funding modeling, financial information management and web based n-tier technology implementation.
Knowledge of, and experience with Government of Ontario Information Technology Standards (GO-ITS).
