Responsibilities
Configure, maintain and support for IAM platforms
• Deploy IAM solutions for related services and integrations
• Stay up to date on IAM market related trends, tools, and methodologies
• Collaborate with Architects, users, and stakeholders to build solutions in a team environment
• Propose test and monitoring solution for IAM systems capacity and performance
• Analyze and design our Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) model to meet organizational business needs
and customer expectation
• Understand product and the implementation at the technical and functional level appropriate for the
situation.
• Build and nurture positive working relationships with the clients with the intention to exceed client
expectations.
• Create and maintain straightforward and accurate documentation
• Work with our technology partners to understand their solution offering
• Provide support for Incident Response (IR) investigation when analysis confirms an actionable incident
• Assist with root cause analyses for events and/or incidents when underlying issues are unknown
• Applies and ensures compliance with all appropriate security standards and adherence to regulatory
access management controls
• Reviews and assesses operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement related to
provisioning / de-provisioning, privileged access management, authentication / authorization, etc.
• Creates and maintains accurate process documentation
Qualifications
Service Management
• Support and resolve service tickets that relate to network security technologies that are used by IT
Security Ops team
• Follow Toronto Hydro’s ITIL processes (Problem, Request, Incident & Change Management)
Continuous Improvements
• Identify areas for continuous improvement, and mature existing security solutions to maximise risk
reduction and business alignment
• Creation, updating and management of technical documentation as required, including knowledge base
articles, departmental processes and standard procedures
• Any other required activities within the scope of this role
REQUIREMENTS:
• Post-secondary Degree/ Diploma (University or College)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Technology
• Certifications related to Network Security tools will be considered an asset (e.g. CISSP)
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience relevant to following specific operational areas:
CCIE, CCNP Security
NIST and/or OCSF
PIM, SIEM, OT, Networking and SCADA
Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure & Operations, the Contractor will assist in design, configuration,
maintenance of Identity and Access Management. The contractor will work closely with IT Security
Architecture and Ops teams; as a business enabler and service provider, the contractor will assist in the
identification of effective solutions to meet the goals of the department and recommend business and
technical process redesigns which maximize efficiencies and align with operational goals for the
organization.
