Our client has been in business since 1967 and has factories all over the world. They are both a stable and expanding company with many of their employees having worked for them for decades. They are currently recruiting an industrial electrician to join their small maintenance team of 4 employees. A typical day as an industrial electrician for our client would be spent fixing issues that arise from the night shift, conducting preventative maintenance and working on special projects as the company is working on increasing their automation. In your spare time, you will be helping the mechanical team.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper operation of the plant's machinery such as Mixers, Extruders, mills etc...
- Repair and maintain these machines, diagnose and change defective parts such as fuses, contactors, push buttons, sensors, drives, etc...
- Verify the state of the electric motors and change them if necessary.
- Modify an electrical circuit on a control panel and set up simple panels.
- Maintain, repair and add lighting in the plant as needed.
- Run cables and make electrical connections.
- Install EMT conduit
- Install and program PLC or AC drive
- Mechanical knowledge an asset
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment
- DEP or related diploma
- Read and understand electrical schematics, master the use of multimeters, ammeters and basic electrical tools, respect and apply safety codes.
- Comfortable working in dusty and loud environments.
-Licence C not required
