Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair, inspection, adjustment and fine-tuning of all plant equipment including extruders, vacuum calibration tanks, pullers, knife cutters, follower saws and other hydraulic and pneumatic industrial machinery
-Ensure equipment meets safety standards
- Welding work (MIG)
- Plumbing
- Install machinery and industrial equipment
- Repair and maintain stationary machinery
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs
- Repair small engines and similar equipment
Qualifications
-DEP, or other industrial mechanic related diplomas Experience
- 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Direct experience with extrusion equipment is an asset
-Ability to read diagrams maintenance manuals
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
-MIG welding
