Food Manufacturing Organisation expanding rapidly
Industrial Electrician with trade certification
FSR certification and experience with PLC and VFD programming
Located in Delta (Annacis Island)


The ideal candidate will work with the Maintenance Team to inspect, maintain, repair and troubleshoot the electrical and mechanical requirements of the plant to ensure proper preventive maintenance and minimal downtime of equipment located in Surrey

Must be available for all shifts times:
6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm/10pm - 6am

Duties:
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance of electrical equipment, repair of electrical/mechanical systems
• Work within a team to provide support for the production line to troubleshoot and repair breakdowns
• Provide written reports of work required for repairs and upgrades
• Participate, collaborate and cooperate with millwrights and other trades to speed up repair and maintenance
• Provide leadership and training for junior technicians
• Maintain all electrical wiring and switch gears such as to ensure operator safety and machine integrity

Qualifications
• Electrician ticket and minimum of four years of industrial experience and PLC programming certificate/ training, or,
• Electrical and or electronic training at college or university level and six years of practical experience in food processing plants.
• Good understanding of AC and DC motors
• Excellent knowledge of VFD, servo motors and servo drives
• Working knowledge of PLC and computerized machiner
• Understand preventive maintenance concepts and computerized work order systems
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• This is a 7 day – 24-hour operation. Ability to work all shifts including weekends is an important need
