- Base salary for an Instrumentation Technician $45.78/hour
- Schedule : Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Develop your talents
By applying your expertise within our facility in Mississauga, as the Instrumentation Technician:
- Proficient at troubleshooting DCS process-related problems; interface with Production as necessary.
- Can install and configure DCS controller hardware including I/O racks and individual I/O boards.
- Proficient at maintaining the FTE network.
- Demonstrate the ability to configure analog control loops and digital control loops for valve control and digital I/O control.
- Demonstrates the ability to configure a simple sequential control loop (SCM) from a written specification.
- Participate in technical investigations, SOP and follow-ups to problems; participates in training on new technologies and processes.
- Assist E/I department supervisor in various energy, control distribution, and other topics as identified.
- In collaboration with end-users, ensures availability of equipment and facilities.
- Leads the work order process from initiation to close.
- Prepares parts lists, SOP and work order kits for planned jobs.
- Provide technical support for Production and Maintenance.
- Support divisional and corporate objectives including health & safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, waste and 5S.

- 447A Instrumentation and Control Technician Certificate of Qualification
- Know how to verify an instrument calibration in the field or on the bench
- Have experience working with pneumatic and electronic instrumentation and controls
- Have experience working with I/P converters, positioners and digital valve controllers
- Know how to dismantle and rebuild valves
- Be familiar with flow, temperature, pressure, and level control loops
- Be able to install, calibrate and troubleshoot transmitters, controllers, and valves
- Be able to interpret P&ID drawings
- Have experience working with a Distributed Control System (a plus)
- Good understanding of maintenance and reliability processes and tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Be able to work independently
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
