This includes, but is not limited to, tracking and reporting on risk events and supporting the business units to help identify and mitigate risk. The successful candidate will communicate with a number of key stakeholders within the organization, including senior management.Responsibilities•Deliver optimal operational risk management reporting with accurate and appropriate risk metrics•Tracking and reporting on risk events and work/consult with the respective business units to investigate root cause analysis to identify mitigating actions all to implement practices and track the actions to closure.•Project Lead for risk mitigation projects being delivered by Corporate Risk function•Ensure operational risk requirements are implemented and monitored on a timely and comprehensive basis, ensuring compliance with regulatory (e.g. Health Canada) risk management guidelines and internal risk appetite•Provide support in enabling effective management to mitigate risk at all operational levels by providing training and coaching business partners on operational risk management best practices•Provide resources and support in the development of our company’s practices as well as developing policies and guidelines.•Support the development of operational key risk indicators (KRIs), while setting quantitative and qualitative risk threshold limits for our stakeholders to be able to measure key projects and using these indicators to be able to conduct scenario/trend analysis and KRI benchmarking.•Lead and assist in the development and implementation to improvement of risk controls for the operational management frameworks and procedures •Perform regular operational risk assessments by leveraging data analytical and advise business stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies and track them to completion, improve efficiency and reduce redundancies.•Develop and maintain partnership within our business functions to provide expert support to help business stakeholders proactively identify, assess and monitor operational risk to optimize our efficiency •Design and develop risk & control frameworks by working with cross-functional teams to implement new risk and governance processes•Investigate key issues in order to lead risk projects and assist business stakeholders to proactively quantify and manage risks associated for both their department as well as the business as a whole•Prepare comprehensive risk assessment reports, intense data filtered dashboards and risk improvements in accordance with the prescribed guidelines within a paperless and virtual environment•Track KPIs and balance scorecards•Strategically manage and develop protocols to comply with company’s vision•Coach team to provide continuous workflow in a professional, team orientated manner with an emphasis on quality in a fast-paced environment•Ability to interact with different levels in the organization and to provide key messages to senior management•Proactively assist wherever the opportunity exists•Travel as required•Other duties as assigned Qualifications•Post-secondary education with an engineering degree, diploma or equivalency OR a Business / Technology undergraduate degree considered and asset•Minimum 2-5 years of previous experience•In depth technical & engineering knowledge of risk control practices, considered an asset•Mastery of Microsoft Office suite of software products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)•Ability to interact with different levels in the organization and to provide succinct messages to senior management•Demonstrable strong analytical skills' integration •Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills•Strong written and oral communication skills•Ability to lead projects and influence others to participate in continuous improvement initiatives•Extremely detail oriented•Accuracy and proven ability to assess incoming information in a timely manner•Demonstrable history of working with integrity, discretion and a high level of competency•Strong organizational skills.
