Our client in Burnaby is hiring for a bilingual Intermediate Accountant – French & English. The ideal candidate will be driven with a strong technical accounting background. Reporting into the Assistant Controller you will be managing day-to-day accounting transactions and ensuring the timely and accurate of reports.

Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in preparation of financial statements, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, AR and AP subsidiary to General Ledger tie out for assigned entities
•Special projects as assigned
•Assisting the Accounts Payable & Payroll functions when required
•Submitting Government payments such as GST, PST, QST & Payroll liabilities

•Salary is dependent on experience plus bonus structure
•3 weeks vacation
•Positive company culture

Key Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
•Proficiency in using Quickbook
•Intermediate level Excel skills
•Analytical and problem solving skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills are required
•Ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
