Responsibilities
The Site Reliability Engineer will be embedded within agile scrum teams and will play a leading role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and OpenShift Private Cloud. The SRE will ensure system reliability, performance, and availability through automation, monitoring, and incident response practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications
1. Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager for GCP and OpenShift.
2. Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and OpenShift Pipelines.
3. Implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using GCP-native tools (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging), OpenShift monitoring stack, and third-party tools (e.g., PagerDuty, Prometheus, Grafana).
4. Managing containerized workloads using Cloud Run (serverless), Kubernetes (GKE) and OpenShift, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of services.
5. Developing automation scripts and tools to support operational efficiency and incident response.
6. Ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards through automated policy enforcement, vulnerability scanning, and secure configuration management.
7. Coaching and mentoring development and operations teams on SRE principles, GCP and OpenShift best practices, and incident management.
8. Experience with databases (Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Firestore, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and writing optimized queries for performance and reliability.
9. Leading post-incident reviews and contributing to continuous improvement of system reliability and team processes.
