We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and technically minded individual looking to gain hands-on experience within an industrial maintenance environment. We are seeking an Inventory Control Technician to join an established operation on a 6–8 month temporary assignment supporting a critical transition of the facility’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, inventory management, technical environments, and working with mechanical and industrial components. Candidates currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, mechanical, technical, engineering, or trades-related programs are strongly encouraged to apply.
You will play a key role in supporting the transition from PM2 to Limblo CMMS, assisting with a full physical inventory count, inventory tracking, data entry, and ongoing parts room organization within the maintenance department. If you are hands-on, accurate, computer savvy, and comfortable working in a structured industrial setting, this could be an excellent opportunity to build valuable experience.

Contract Length: 6–8 Month Temporary Assignment
Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00AM – 5:30PM
Compensation: $26.00–$30.00/hour
Eligibility: You bring previous or relatable experience, have a strong understanding of data entry and inventory management systems
You are currently located in and legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia

Responsibilities
Conduct a full physical inventory count of maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment
Receive, unpack, label, sort, and organize incoming inventory and materials accurately
Deliver and place inventory items into designated storage locations within the parts room
Maintain accurate inventory records for materials received, issued, and stocked
Monitor inventory levels and support day-to-day inventory control processes
Enter, maintain, and update inventory data within databases and the Limblo CMMS system
Generate reports using inventory and maintenance records as required
Process supporting documentation including invoices, packing slips, coding, and filing activities
Provide clerical and administrative support related to inventory and maintenance operations
Follow PPE requirements, safety procedures, and operational guidelines within an industrial environmen
Qualifications
Completion of, or active enrollment in, a mechanical, technical, engineering, or trades-related program
Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Previous experience or understanding of inventory control principles and inventory management practices
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and industrial equipment
Strong data entry, recordkeeping, and organizational skills with high attention to accuracy
Comfortable working with software systems, databases, and CMMS platforms
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, supervisors, and maintenance teams
Basic mathematical and reporting skills
Ability to follow instructions, maintain organized workspaces, and support operational priorities
Comfortable performing physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and wearing required PPE within an industrial environment
You are comfortable in a fast paced, bakery production environment
