As an IT Analyst, you will work with Senior Analysts, Developers, Product Owners and Business Partners to analyze opportunities, document and support partners and colleagues to actively deliver enhancements that add value to the business.

Responsibilities
Understand, analyze, document and support partners/users in clarifying their needs.
Develop toolkits and reports to provide an overview of relevant performance indicators and trends for a specific sector or solution.
Provide regular and ad hoc reports on activities of interest to the senior analyst for the sector, to the central IT performance team and to various business and IT stakeholders.
Perform complete, fully documented, and substantiated analyses that are based on solid evidence.
Examine data and reports to identify underlying trends, major gaps, and root causes of a various issues.
Identify, understand, and profile data sources required to meet needs identified in business analyses.
Support users throughout the delivery process while guaranteeing the quality of the service provided.
Assist in defining the functions, services or technical elements required.
Assist in designing the solution in collaboration with the team
Participate in the development and application of functional rules, technical specifications, and solution design and delivery standards.
Actively contribute, with other experts in the sector, to the implementation of solutions and the execution of activities (i.e. proof of concept, various validations, testing strategies, testing, operations, and user documentation, etc.)
As needed, perform certain technical, development, configuration or quality assurance activities when required by the context.
Actively contribute to the maintenance of the documentation necessary for the sustainability of designed or current elements and to the IT asset development plans under the team’s responsibility.
Assist in monitoring, developing, and supporting applications, systems and practices in the sector
As needed, perform certain technical, development, configuration or quality assurance activities when required by the context.
Contribute to the applications and technological systems development plan.
Actively participate in all the team’s activities (ceremony preparation, definition of done, etc.).
Qualifications
College diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, administration or other relevant training of a similar level and two to five years of experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical, processing, coordination, and collaboration skills.
Basic experience with programming languages, databases, or other technologies an asset
Good communication, writing and explanation skills
Ability to maintain healthy work relationships with stakeholders in various sectors & at various hierarchical levels
Specific experience with MySQL databases
Basic knowledge of other database technologies (e.g. MSSQL, Mongo, Oracle, Hadoop, etc.) an asset
Familiarity with the software development life cycle, DevOps and Lean & Agile methodologies
Curiosity, autonomy, discipline, and analytical thinking.
Desire to continue to learn.
Act as a high-performing team player on a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bilingual, very good knowledge of English & French (verbal and written).
Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry is an asset.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience
