Five to ten (5-10) years of experience in IT Telecom/Networking Architecture
Experience with IT infrastructure architecture/design (networks, cloud). Cisco Software Defined
Networking implementation for the Data Center with migration experience is a plus.
Proficiency in designing solutions for enterprise IT environments involving IP Telephony, Cisco
Networking, Telecom (DWDM, MPLS, Cellular, RF links, etc.),
Experience with utilities specific operational systems (e.g. SCADA, ADMS, AMI) is a plus
Experience with designing solution for emerging technologies such as Battery Storage, Energy
Storage, Charging Station is a plus
Experience with creation of architectural standards, policies and procedures for Telecom
Networking, Data Center, Campus Network and Voice.
Experience with planning and execution of system implementations for both operational
initiatives and strategic projects related to Network, Telecom, Data Center and Voice.
Knowledge of Incident and Problem Management, Technical Governance structures, ITIL and
SDLC Frameworks
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
improvement and productivity as essential drivers of long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities
a key role in the development, sequencing and prioritization of the IT capital
portfolio and operating programs. Working with internal and external stakeholders, develops,
implements and manages the creation of industry leading technical standards, reference designs,
technical solutions and Proof of Concept initiatives pertaining to the areas of Network/Telecom, Data
Center and Voice. The successful candidate provides recommendations for security architecture for
all technology projects, new platforms – on premise or cloud based and ensures alignment of
technology solutions to established frameworks and security standards.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in architecture of the
following IT domains:
Fiber-Optic and Wireless Telecom environments
Data Center & Campus Networks
IP Telephony and Call Center technologies (desirable, but not mandatory)
Network Security
Summary
The Telecom/Network Architect is responsible for leading and promoting the enterprise and solution
architecture process within the organization including the creation of governing principles, policies,
standards and procedures to guide solution decision making for the organization, and to lead the
development of an implementation plan for the Enterprise Architecture program for
Telecom/Network, Data Centre and IP Telephony. The successful candidate will drive and create
innovative solutions to solve complex technical/technological challenges in order to ensure the
highest level of reliability, efficiency and quality of IT systems.
