Our large Edmonton based client has an immediate need for a IT Management Consultant - Strategy and Planning on contract for 3 months with likely extension in Edmonton, Alberta.

Description:

• Can span activities related to information management and technology strategic planning, project definition, program communication, providing leadership to project teams, facilitating strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, conducting business process reengineering activities and facilitating executive discussions on strategic matters.
• Works with Senior and Executive Management to:
• Identify and advance information management and technology strategies that advance and/or support our core business in strategic areas.
• Facilitate collaboration of various industries and other partners to identify and advance opportunities to improve existing services and/or identify, develop and advance opportunities for new and innovative information management and technology related services.
• Facilitate and manage the challenges associated with innovation and change.

To be considered for this position you will have the following experience:

• 15 plus combined years of relevant education and experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates.
• 5 plus years’ experience using analytical and problem solving skills to plan and design creative solutions.
• 10 plus years’ experience in business writing, communication and documentation.
• 5 plus years’ experience in the development of business cases for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.)
• 5 plus years’ experience with information management concepts and strategy, privacy and security standards
