NATURE OF JOB

Diagnose and repair all Information Technology systems and equipment to reduce the negative impact of errors or downtime to the business. Maintains systems delegated to them as a 2nd level of support. Provides best effort assistance to on site business partners and project contractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Provide general IT Help Desk technical support and troubleshooting for all users
•Perform intake and triage of requests, performing assignments of tickets to technicians
•Monitor tickets for trends or high impact issues and escalate as needed
•Maintain inventory of all IT assets and provide reorder information as needed
•Provision phones and voicemail systems

LOCATION

ON SITE - (3 weeks on site - 3 weeks off)
•Provision of cellular phones when requested by Oakville IT Technicians
•Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on all user equipment including workstations, printers, etc.
•Lifting and transportation of moderately heavy object such as workstations, servers, etc.
•Receive shipments of materials destine for Mary and Milne
•Ship damaged materials off site when necessary
•Create purchase requisitions
•Move, provision and install equipment
•Provision new equipment for end users following all standards
•Install and maintain structured cabling
•Install and maintain equipment mounted on towers and masts
•Create, Remove, Update and Delete accounts and access in any system as approved by IT superintendents
•Participate in project work as assigned
•Maintain all company conference facilities, cleanup and repair as needed
•Organize, clean and generally maintain all IT storage facilities
•Dispose of waste electronics and shipping materials
•Enforce security standards and policies
•Conduct all work safely and in accordance with safety procedures
•Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, community and environmental protection and take action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviors do not occur.
•Operate equipment (Man Lift, Skid Steer and Boom Truck).
Maintain all IT facilities on site including comm. towers, switch cabinets and server rooms.
