Senior Java Developer - Saint-Hyacinthe 6 months (Possibility of renewal/permanence)

Description of the mandate:
As a software developer in the pricing team, you will join a dynamic team and will take part in the development of the specifications of systems, applying software engineering best practices, code development, testing, corrections and evolution of our software. You will work in a collaborative team where improvement continuously knowledge and skills of each.

More specifically for this mandate, we are looking for a developer familiar with the guts of Java in order to help us migrate Java applications developed with IBM WebSphere tools to Tomcat and / or other servers application. A person who can resolve ClassPath conflicts and obscure compilation errors, and for whom multithreading is a subject exciting conversation!

At the same time, this developer will accompany us on the road of migrating applications to Docker with OpenShift and process automation with Jenkins. Experience with these new technologies and ways of doing things is an asset! Finally, the candidate must be comfortable working in a diverse team, participate in ideas analysis and job evaluation discussions and share knowledge with peers.

Minimum requirement(s):
•Bachelor's degree in information science (computer science or engineering) or combination of experience and equivalent training;
•Great expertise in Java programming (advanced level required);
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role;
•Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize;
•Skill in structured and object-oriented programming;
•Great autonomy and organizational capacity;
•Comfortable with teamwork and knowledge sharing;
•Sensitive to the customer experience (customer orientation);
•Knowledge of the insurance world (asset);
•Agile development experience (asset).
