Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic

If so, I'd love to hear from you! A local HVAC contractor is looking for Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic or HVAC/R Technician to join their service team!

Permanent Position
Hours: Monday to Friday daytime (with scheduled on-call duties)
Salary: Range based on experience $44-$48/hr

Responsibilities
As a Commercial HVAC/R Mechanic, a normal day would include:
- Reviewing and prioritizing client's emergency and scheduled maintenance needs for the day and week
- Acting as a brand ambassador, dealing with clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Installing heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
- Perform diagnoses and repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment
- Corrective and Preventative maintenance of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, as well as accessories, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with provincial legislation and regulations, as well as company policies surrounding conduct and health and safety.
- Accurately complete required paperwork for each job.
- Mentoring junior technicians, aiding in their professional development and blue book hours
- Other duties as required to ensure the proper operation of the business

Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Red Seal Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic and Licensed B Gas Fitter
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Previous experience with grocery store refrigeration equipment, primarily large rack systems would be considered an asset
